This policy explains how Rivers of Rest ("we," "us," or "our") handles information through riversofrest.com, our email service, and applications we use to publish Rivers of Rest content to connected platforms such as TikTok.

Information we collect

You may listen to the free prayer and public audio without creating an account. We collect information only in the following situations:

Information you provide: your email address and consent record when you request emails, plus the choices you submit through an optional feedback form.
Optional listening measurement: only after you turn it on, a pseudonymous device identifier, page and player events, timestamps, referral source, campaign, and selected audio edition. We do not use this to record your name, prayer concern, or exact listening position.
Connected-platform information: when an authorized Rivers of Rest operator connects a platform account, our publishing tools may process the account identifiers, authorization credentials, content and captions selected for posting, posting status, and analytics that the platform makes available within the approved permissions.
Technical and security information: our hosting and platform providers may process IP addresses, browser or device details, and request logs to deliver and protect the service.

How we use information

We use information to deliver requested emails, operate and secure the site, understand aggregate listening and feedback, publish content only at an authorized operator's direction, prevent duplicate posts, confirm posting outcomes, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

Service providers and connected platforms

We disclose information only as needed to providers that help us operate the service, including Cloudflare for hosting, storage, security, and measurement; Resend for requested email delivery; and connected publishing platforms such as TikTok, Meta, or YouTube when an authorized operator directs a platform action. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.

TikTok application use

The current Rivers of Rest TikTok developer application is intended to help authorized Rivers of Rest operators publish and verify Rivers of Rest content. It is not intended for unrelated members of the public to connect their accounts. We request only the permissions shown during TikTok authorization, use TikTok information only for the disclosed publishing workflow, and do not use TikTok data to build advertising profiles or sell information.

Retention

We retain email subscription records while you are subscribed and retain a limited suppression record after unsubscribe when needed to honor your choice. Unconfirmed email links expire after 48 hours. We retain feedback and consented measurement only as long as reasonably needed for product and audience analysis. Connected-platform credentials and associated publishing records are retained only while needed to operate, secure, reconcile, or audit the authorized connection, and are removed or deactivated when the connection is revoked or deletion is requested, subject to security, legal, and backup requirements.

Your choices and requests

You can listen without signing up, leave optional measurement turned off, unsubscribe through any marketing email, and revoke a connected platform through that platform's settings. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you by emailing rich@riversofrest.com. To request deletion of TikTok-connected data, use the subject “TikTok data deletion” and identify the connected account. We may need to verify the request before acting.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and change the “last updated” date. Material changes will be announced when appropriate.
